v1.4.0#

30/10/2026

Reply CMP v1.4.0 adds Azure China support, deeper cross-cloud cost breakdowns and ready-to-use FinOps dashboards, alongside improvements to provisioning, forecasts and portal reliability.

Cloud connections#

  • Azure China support lets you choose Global or China when connecting an Azure subscription. China connections use the appropriate endpoints for authentication, Discovery, costs, recommendations, automation and Monitoring; existing connections remain Global.

  • Clearer onboarding prerequisites explain the required Azure, AWS and GCP access, including the separate app registration and role assignments needed for Azure China.

See Connect a provider.

FinOps and AI#

  • Cross-cloud meter and charge breakdowns expose native billing details in Analyze, including Azure meters, AWS usage types and GCP SKUs. Meter views include the largest contributors and an Other bucket, with clear labels when billing detail is unavailable.

  • Searchable resource types help you find a service by name, provider or native resource type and focus cost analysis on the relevant workloads.

  • Meter & Charge Details widgets bring detailed billing breakdowns into saved dashboards. The new Foundry & AI Cost Monitor and Storage & Data Meter Monitor presets provide starting points for AI, storage and database cost monitoring.

  • More reliable cost queries and clearer allocation labels improve cost exploration, while compact controls make cost-type selection easier to use.

  • Clearer affected-resource counts make provider recommendations easier to assess, including recommendations that apply to multiple resources.

  • Forecast strategy selection evaluates prediction errors across the 30-day forecast horizon once sufficient comparable history is available, rather than relying only on next-day accuracy.

See Analyze, Monitor dashboards, Allocate, Optimize and Cost forecasting.

Provisioning#

  • Nested Git modules can include local Terraform modules and supported GitHub SSH dependencies. Reply CMP resolves and snapshots the required files into an immutable module package when a version is submitted.

  • Module aliases and safer imports support relative symbolic links such as a latest module folder while rejecting unsafe paths, broken links and cycles.

  • Resource-name uniqueness checks prevent duplicate resource names within a deployment, including names already used by deleted resources.

See Module registry and Deploy from catalog.

Discovery and Monitoring#

  • Reliable category navigation fixes broken links when opening Discovery categories.

  • Longer monitoring queries support more detailed Azure Log Analytics, Azure Resource Graph and AWS Logs queries.

See Browse resources and Monitoring dashboards.
