Version 0.2.0 marks a step forward in Reply CMPโ€™s cloud management capabilities, with a focus on enhancing cost management, user interface, resource categorization, and tagging.

๐Ÿš€ New Features๏ƒ

  • Advisor Daily Reports: Daily advisor reports are now generated on the connections linked to tenants, providing key insights and recommendations. For instance, alerts if certain virtual machines need to be resized due to being over-dimensioned.

  • Download tfstate: You can now download the terraform state of your deployment to get useful information directly from source.

  • Soft deletion for resources: When you delete a resource, now its status is changed to โ€˜Deletedโ€™. The resource will be permanently deleted only after the next successful apply. A resource in the deleted state can be always rollbacked to a previous version in order to restore its metadata.

  • (๐Ÿ”Preview) Chatbot for Costs: Users can now interact naturally with the cloud costs. For instance, asking โ€˜Give me costs of Azure virtual machines in the last monthโ€™.

  • New Cost Mechanism: Costs are now saved daily, making retrieval and analysis much faster. It also includes a manual upload feature for Azure CSP subscriptions that donโ€™t support cost retrieval via APIs.

  • Dark Mode: A new user interface feature that provides a dark-themed version of the platform.

  • AI-driven Resource Categorization: Discovered resources are now automatically categorized by AI into categories such as Compute, Serverless, Database, Network, Storage, and Others.

  • Custom categories: Users can now create custom categories, grouping together related resources by choosing them manually, with a regex on their name, or with common tags. Custom categories allows users to categorize resources related to (e.g.) the same application, in order to manage them jointly.

  • Tagging: A more user-friendly and efficient way to navigate through resources using tags has been released.
